FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this homeschool PE program?

We are a Christ-centered homeschool PE group where kids come together to play, move, and grow physically and spiritually. Our time includes outdoor games, physical activity, and intentional encouragement rooted in biblical truth.

Is this program openly Christian?

Yes, completely. Our program is unapologetically Christ-centered. We incorporate biblical values, short devotionals, and Christ-like encouragement into our time together. Everything we do points back to honoring God in how we move, play, and treat others.

What ages can participate?

We welcome a range of homeschool ages, 5-17. Activities are adaptable so younger and older kids can participate together while still being appropriately challenged.

What does a typical session look like?

Each session includes:

Warm-up and group movement

Prayer

Organized games (kickball, flag football, gaga ball, tug of war. etc.)
Team based activities that build coordination and confidence
Encouragement rooted in Scripture and Christ-like character

Our goal is to keep kids moving, engaged, and having fun while reinforcing positive, faith-based values.

Do kids need athletic experience?

Not at all. This is a welcoming, low-pressure environment. Whether your child is very active or just getting started, they will be encouraged, included, and supported.

Is this competitive?

We focus more on participation, teamwork, and character than competition. While games may have winners, the emphasis is on encouragement, effort, and honoring God in how we play.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions take place outdoors in a safe, open environment where kids can run freely and enjoy God’s creation. Exact Location TBD.

What should my child bring?

Comfortable athletic clothing
Closed-toe shoes
Water bottle
A positive attitude and readiness to participate

Do children need to wear a program shirt?

No! Many children wear our group shirts, but it is not required.

What happens in bad weather?

We keep safety first. If weather conditions are unsafe, sessions may be rescheduled or canceled. Communication will always be sent out in advance.

Can parents stay?

Yes, please!

Parents or guardians are asked to remain on-site during each session as we create a safe, welcoming, and family centered environment for everyone. Our hope is that this becomes more than just PE for the kids and also a place where moms and families can connect, encourage one another, and build community together.

Is this a drop-off program?

No, a parent or guardian must be present :)

How is faith incorporated?

Faith is woven naturally into everything we do. Through encouragement, short devotionals, and how we guide interactions, children learn:

Kindness and respect
Perseverance and self-control
Teamwork and encouragement
Honoring God in both victory and challenge

What makes this different from regular PE?

This is physical education AND MORE.
We are intentional about creating a space where kids can grow in confidence, community, and Christ.

What games do you play?

We play soccer, flag football, Gaga ball, dodgeball, kickball, tug-of-war, six square, and more! Think of it as all the best PE games combined with your favorite recess activities. Our goal is to keep kids active, engaged, and having fun while learning a variety of games.

Do you offer evening classes?

No, not at this time.

No. However, because most of our programs take place during traditional school hours, children enrolled in public or private school will typically only be able to participate during school breaks and holidays.

_____

No. There is no water source available on-site, so we ask that every child bring their own water bottle. Coaches may have a few extra bottles of water available for emergencies, but families should plan to provide their child’s water for each practice.

Can my child stay after practice to play?

No. Since RR does not own the property where practices are held, we kindly ask that all families depart once practice has ended and the coach leaves the facility.

How do I communicate special needs or accommodations for my child?

We want every child to have a positive experience. If your child has any special needs, accommodations, or concerns we should be aware of, please speak directly with a coach or contact us before practice. We are happy to do our best to accommodate individual needs whenever possible.
